About CASA Advocates

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA's) are everyday people who make an extraordinary difference in the lives of children experiencing abuse and neglect. As a CASA, you are appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interests during court proceedings. You build a trusted relationship, gather information, and ensure that the child’s voice is heard throughout the legal process.

OUR ADVOCATES

Real People. Real Impact

Our advocates come from all walks of life, but they share one thing in common—a deep commitment to being a consistent, trusted voice for children.

Christina Brandes

Serving as Volunteer:

Employee since July 2025. Advocate since September 2025.

Why I Advocate:

I chose to become a CASA advocate because I believe every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and valued—especially during times of uncertainty. So many children in the foster care system face challenges no child should have to go through alone. I wanted to be someone who could stand up for them, help make their voice heard, and ensure their best interests are at the center of every decision. Being a CASA isn’t just about supporting a child—it’s about showing them that their life matters, and that someone truly cares.

Why I Advocate:

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Children who have experienced trauma need to have someone in their corner speaking up for them and making recommendations for the situation that would serve them in the very best way.
